Job Summary:
First Call Logistics is seeking an accounting supervisor to oversee daily accounting tasks in support of our financial team. The role’s primary responsibilities will include daily oversight and analysis of company payable and receivable processes. Our ideal candidate is someone with a degree and professional experience in operational accounting who will keep our accounting department running smoothly, ensuring all transactions remain transparent and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for processing staff
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with past-due customers
- Maintain daily cashflow reports
- Develop and maintain processing procedures
- Review billing/payable data for accuracy
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
- Participate in monthly close and annual audits
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Supervisor
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Detail-oriented with the ability to problem-solve
- Experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage and Salesforce)
- Ability to stay organized and balance priorities
- Track record of safely handling sensitive, confidential information
